We have just received news that there will be further opportunities for young people to apply for apprenticeships at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust in the coming weeks and in the New Year.

The first position will be an apprentice medical laboratory assistant – pre-analytical department, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. This vacancy is for an apprentice to undertake a level 3 Pathology Support Apprenticeship (over 18 months) and is suitable for a young person with an interest in science who is approaching their 18th birthday or is over 18.

This vacancy will be open on NHS Jobs next week and will remain open until 16th January 2015 with interviews on 29th January 2015.

In January adverts will be placed for

Apprentice Healthcare Assistants (approx. 26 posts including opportunities for a Maternity Apprentice Healthcare Assistant and Apprentice Theatre assistants) – on Clinical Healthcare Level 2 framework, suitable for a young person 16+)

Apprentice Post Room (Business and Administration Level 2 framework suitable for a young person 16+)

Apprentice Groundsman (Groundsman, Level 2 framework suitable for a young person 18+)

Apprentice Learning Technologist (IT Professional, Level 2, framework suitable for a young person 16+)

Training Services Apprentice (IT user, Level 2, framework suitable for a young person 16+)

Linen Room Apprentice (re-advert) Linen and Textiles, Level 2 framework suitable for a young person 18+

(Please note that interviews for the Apprentice Healthcare Assistant positions are held in February but the start date is 18th May so Health and Social Care students currently on programme but due to finish in Spring may be able to consider applying).
