Technical Composite Engineering Apprenticeships

On this Apprenticeship scheme you spend your first year at City of Bristol College encompassing both academic and practical training in a variety of subjects. By the end of your first year you will have gained the PEO (Performing Engineering Operations) qualification and will have started the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering.

In your second year you will be on day release to continue with the BTEC and will undertake you NVQ Level 3 in Composite Manufacturing at the NCC.

Your third year will be full time at the NCC and will see you complete the NVQ!

You will gain exposure to some of the following:
– Prototype Manufacturing
– Non-destructive testing
– Materials and Tooling
– Composite lay-up techniques
– Machining
– World class innovation and research

You will have the unique opportunity to work on projects with world leading organisation such as Airbus, Rolls Royce, GKN.
You will gain exposure to a range of exciting advanced projects, processes and technologies.

About You

Qualifications Required

It is essential that you have 5 GCSE’s Grade A*-C plus B or higher in Maths and Science or equivalent.

– A demonstrable passion for manufacturing
– Demonstrable like for and skill at building and making things
– Interested in how things work
– Creative problem solver
– Enthusiastic and positive attitude
– Willing to learn and is self-motivated
– Proven team player but also able to work independently
– Conscientious, attention to detail, ordered and tidy

Salary and Benefits

You will receive an income as soon as you join an NCC Apprenticeship.

Starting Salaries are:
.£9,000 – £10,000 per annum
