We are pleased to inform you that we are about to advertise for apprentice healthcare assistant positions (20+ vacancies) in the next couple of days. I am mindful of the Easter break so thought I would send the information, without the link at present, to enable for you to get the details out.

This is an opportunity for a young person aged 16 and above to join our 11th cohort of apprentice healthcare assistants. The apprenticeship gives the young person an opportunity to gain a clinical healthcare Level 2 diploma whilst working in an acute clinical environment. There are currently vacancies across wards and departments at both Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucestershire Royal including Paediatrics, Outpatients and Theatres.

We also have opportunities for young people with a health and social care qualification and / or experience working in a healthcare setting to enrol to a Level 3 Clinical Healthcare Apprenticeship.

The closing date for applications is 13/04/2016

Literacy and Numeracy Initial assessments will be online starting the week beginning 02/05/2016 until 10/05/2016

The shortlisted candidates will also be invited  to Redwood Education Centre, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital together for a short tour of the Hospital on either 24/05/2016 or 25/05/2016

Interviews will be held: 30/06/2016 (NB: previously listed as 17/06/2016 but changed due to clash with exams) at Sandford Education Centre, Cheltenham General Hospital **No alternative dates can be arranged**

Successful applicants will start as apprentice HCA on 06/09/2016 and if enrolled to Level 2 will remain on programme for 366 days (Level 3 18 months).
