Secure your place at Gloucestershire College now for September 2017
Gloucestershire College is giving potential students the chance to get ahead of the game and apply now for September 2017 entry onto its courses.
Year 11 students can apply now to avoid the hassle of completing applications during the busy GCSE mock exam period, with options including over 20 A Level subjects at GC sixth form. Alternatively, they can choose from a wide range of full-time further education courses in subjects such as engineering, construction, health and social care, computing, hairdressing, beauty, sport and outdoor education, business and media.
The Gloucestershire College 2017/2018 Prospectus is available now in schools, from the College’s campuses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean, and to download at: www.GCprospectus.co.uk
The prospectus contains the full list of A Levels, further education courses and apprenticeships on offer, commencing in September. Students in the Forest of Dean will now be able to study new courses in barbering, catering and A Level physical education, while both Cheltenham and Gloucester Campuses will be offering new computing courses. New construction and health, social care and early years courses will be available to students at all three campuses.
The College will host a series of November Open Evenings for students looking at their options for September 2017, along with their parents and guardians. These provide an excellent opportunity to see the state of the art facilities at its three campuses, including the brand new Graduations at Cheltenham hair and beauty training salon, as well as construction workshops, film studios, training restaurants, sports facilities and more.
Principal Matthew Burgess said: “It is a good idea to start looking at post-GCSE options and for students to secure their place this side of Christmas, for one less thing to worry about once mock exams begin.
“Many students will be undecided on what and where they want to study, and there are so many options to consider, such as A Levels, apprenticeships, technical and professional routes.
“This is why we recommend that students and their parents come along to one of our Open Evenings for the chance to view our fantastic facilities and speak to our advice and guidance team, as well as our passionate lecturers.”
Gloucestershire College have invited our Year 10 students to attend a taster day at their Five Acres Campus on Wednesday 22nd June from 9.30-2.30pm.
